Micro-gold is gold that is so small in size that it is measured by microns. Most standard processing plants cannot recover micro-gold, that is gold that is sized below 60 microns.
Micro-gold has become increasingly important to recover. Over the long history of gold recovery, the size of the gold that can be economically recovered has necessarily gotten smaller and smaller.
The deposits of the larger gold have been worked over and this has driven producers to improve efficiency in recovery.
Our Joint Venture partner, 1027 Processing, has developed the necessary processes and technology to recover gold well below 60 microns.
